A parent has asked me to do one to one exclusively for their autistic child a day a week in the holidays. What would you charge for this to make up for loss of earnings from other children? My normal rate is £3.50 hourly.
Advice appreciated

Thanks
Jac

I think I would charge £8 per hour as it is a one-to-one.

If any parent asked for one-to-one care (whatever the reason), I would charge £10 an hour. That's less than 3 times my hourly rate, but a figure that I am happy to work for for the day.

I was thinking along the same lines, but wondered if I was being greedy

I also charge £3.50 hour and if parent asked me not take on other children I would like to think they would be willing to make up the money I am likely to lose out on
