Hi all
Will we have to do observations for children we look after under the age of 5 during the school hols( please tell me we dont:) )

We are responsible for delivering eyfs to all children up to the August following their 5th birthday... all the time...

Even play settings /out of school clubs / holiday clubs will have to show evidence that they are using and providing eyfs...

Shouldn’t out of school care be more of a play environment and not a continuation of education?

The EYFS is a flexible framework that allows for providers to deliver it in an number of ways. It supports learning through play and there is no reason why a play-based environment cannot deliver the EYFS.
