obs files

Hi can someone tell me cos im very confused as usual, do i have to have an observation folder for each child or can all the obs i do go into the learning journey file so that they just have the 1 file with everything in, thanks

I have separate files... the reason I keep them separate is because a child's information file needs to be locked away, but I refer to the obs files every day, building on yesterday's obs to plan today...

The obs file contains a copy of the relevant pages from the eyfs learning and development grids for each child, then I add photos, obs, comments etc to build up their celebration of achievement.

I am not saying I am right or wrong in my approach... this is simply what I choose to do because it works best for me. There is no right or wrong. Neither Ofsted nor the eyfs tell us how to observe or plan... we have to make that up for ourselves. :D
