i have just had to replace my 6 black ikea canvas dining chairs with leather ones due to the covers needing washing every weekend (my mindees cant get use to wiping hands on wipes/napkins instead of the chairs) & the fabrics were fading & stitching coming away due to the constant washing :(

i sold the canvas ones on ebay & bought some leather ones (again on ebay), there was a £60 price difference...could i put this against my expenses as i wouldnt of changed them if it wasnt for childminding. (i dont like leather but needed something wipe cleanable)

i have kept the buyers invoice & sellers receipt so can prove the price difference :)

thanks folks

This would come under wear and tear so no you can't claim the difference

I agree with Straws. Wear and Tear. I cover mine with cheap tea towels when the mindees use them. It protects them and the tea towels are easy to wash and cheap to replace:thumbsup:
