How long does a CRB usually take to come through?

As the title says, does anyone know approx how long it takes for a CRB to come through?

My DS's girlfriend has recently lost her job and is struggling paying the bills on her flat. DS has asked if she can move in with us. I know I will need to get a CRB done for her, but just wondered if anyone could give me a rough idea of how long it takes to come through, as ideally I would like it done before she gives up the flat (though she could stay with her brother for a while if necessary).

mine took 4 months & 3 weeks :( but my partners took 3 weeks (lives 100 miles away from me) it all depends on the local constabulary

mines been about 8 weeks but my daughters was sent back and sent over 3 weeks later(sitting on my table)and hers has been the 1st back of 4 mines being printed at the mo!!!yayyyy

Thanks Ladies!! Think I will get it sent off asap!! Even if she doesn't actually move in, she visits quite often so might as well get it done anyway!!
