I have a friend as my assistant, she works when my husband is working (he works shifts). She is a SAHM so it works well for her as she can bring along her 2yr old who is great friends with my DD also 2!

I pay her £6 per hr, but she rarely has to work more than 10hrs a week, mainly to help watch little ones while I do the school run, when pre-schooler overlap or when v busy in holidays!

i used to have my neighbour as my assistant. ( she came to do school run & afterschool a couple of afternoons a week )

i paid her the minimum wage and as her 2 children came with her, fed them tea !!!
