Hi,

I was wondering what others say to the parents who are leaving the gorgeous children with us all day. I knw a lot of parents are horrified at the fact that they are leaving them and I always try to reassure the they will survive.
What do you guys do to help the parents..the children are the easy bit :)

I send a photo message.... I take a photo of their lo playing, then put a little message with it such as, 'hello Mummy/Daddy, I'm having fun' xx

I do this a few times over the first couple of weeks then I still do it occasionally up until the child leaves, when they get really messy feeding themselves their lunch... when we are on an outing or just when I think ahh Mum etc will love that :)

I also tell them that they can phone to check they have settled if they want to.

Thats what I do - send a photo pix or just a message to reassure the parent.

I show them photos I have taken etc

My parents so far have not been the 'nervous type' so not had to this yet. But that is the wonder of technology these days :)
I remember the first time I left DD1 with a CM just for a 2hr settling in.
Cried my eyes out I did and then she did not want to come home with me :D
Was OK after that.
