Hiya i am a new childminder currently caring for 2yr old twin girls along with my 3 year old son. I work from 12-4pm with a school pick up for the older sibling. Only problem is im finding it really hard to fill up my free time with clients due to the 4 hours i have the twins every day.

I was told by someone last week that i could take on one more client as the twins are classed as 1??? i cant seem to find anything saying this other than when you can take on twins under 12 months and my twins are 2yrs. Can i take another client or not? seeing as i already have 3 under 5?? im a little confused.

I don't think so, not without a variation from Ofsted.

I don't think twins would be classed as 1 child x

You can't count twins as being one child. They definitley take up 2 in your numbers.

No you can't, think the confusion isif you are approached by twins and only have one place you can ask for a variation to keep them together
