Can we use non-latex gloves? I heard somewhere that it is a good idea because some children may be allergic to the latex.

Does anyone else use these types, or do we have to use latex due to them being sterile?

Thanks for your help again X

I've got lovely green non-latex that hubby 'borrowed' from RAF stores and it says that they are sterile. Plus the NHS use purple non-latex ones so if its good enough for them...

You can use non latex.....to be honest I would recommend non latex due to allergies.

As Meggiomoo says you can get others that are also sterile.

No you do not have to use sterile gloves for nappy changing......I use the blue Nitrile ones and get them from ebay.

Whew! I use the plastic ones. I have a pair of sterile ones in my first aid kit for emergencies but otherwise it's the plastic ones.

i'll play devils advocate if i may

i don't use gloves and don't intend to
i've been changing nappies for more than 27 years and i'm not starting doing any thing differently now

and i don't care what ofsted say about it
i do wash my hands immediately after every nappy change though

I think she's still got Miffy in the cellar and lets her out to clean in return for food.

That is one of those things that you just cant beleive has happened!!!

That poor woman & those poor kids:( , dont know if i believe that the mum didnt know, as you just cant imagine something going on like that & for that length of time without her knowing & then again i cant think of someone knowing something like that & letting it happen.

she obviously never kept her cleaner down in the cellar only to be let up occasionally for food and work
which is what i am accused of
