Has it actually died or just overheated? Might be worth leaving it for a bit to cool down before you recycle it!

Indeed what would all of us do if our laminators break.

Thankfully if it is indeed dead the shops open at 10am so you will be able to get another one.

If it helps.. I bought one is Asda this week for only £13. I thought that was a good price? The packs of pouches only £2. :)

Noooooooooooo!!!!! I would be a crying mess!!!!!

p.s For pouches, I used to get the Asda ones but recently discovered School Surplus - I got a pack of 100 pouches for £5.99 :)

I lost my first laminator six months ago, I was deverstated. The best thing we did was to get another one, I did want to at first but DH ordered one off Ebay, with out my knowledge, and I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it.

This sounds like the desperate actions of a childminder who is about to be inspected;)

Mine too broke last week and it's terminal. I did however choose new clothes over buying another one so maybe it doesn't mean as much to me as I thought it did:rolleyes: :D

It is indeed dead as the proverbial Do-do!! It is now in it's box awaiting it's removal to the place of all dead electrical things - the cellar!

Got a new one :D which works just fine. It is smaller and slimmer and black:) :clapping: :D .

It was DD2's father's day produce that I was trying to laminiate:eek: still we explained to him and he accepted the delay until the afternoon when he had replaced the laminator!!!

However I do have a little cherub at weekends and I was trying to do hers too!

I think I am all laminated up on everything for the inspection! just ploughing through Part 3 of the form - I have vowed to make sure I am not like Aly and Hadock and doing it all the day before it has to go back  - will make a change for me though I always did my homework the night before it was due in
