i have just recently heard from another local childminder that the local nursery add fabric softner to home made play doh to give it & the room a nice smell.
the childminder said they just add a little, but you can smell it when entering room.
Im going to try it later on today, but thought it was nice idea

I often add a drop or 2 of different child-friendly essential oils like lavender ... not thought about fabric softener though :D

I haven't tried that one - I noticed that a new batch needs making soon so will have a go.

You would need to be careful if any of your children have allergies or eczema as they may react to FC in it. I have to be careful which FC i Use or else I itch and itch

Think I'll pinch the lavender essential oil idea. Anything to calm them down.:D

I like the idea of lavendar oil but not fabric conditioner - like Kate says it could irritate the skin
