i have been approached asking if i can have a 16yr old for one week placement.

as i know the young girl i have no problem with this but not sure how i go about it.

do i have to let the cssiw know

i know that she can't be left alone with the childreni also know she has been crb checked but with the Girl Guiding .

any advice will be greatly appreciated .

You can't leave them alone with the children, make sure the student is very aware of rules and your boundaries etc.

If you are considering it I would contact your EY team.

think we will do it as she is a lovely girl
use to child mind her when she was younger
so it will be lovely to work with her

I would also let Ofsted know - it is good practise.

I had three students in a couple of years ago. One was fantastic, of the other two one was average and the other the tutor thanked me for putting up with her and they appreciated my hard work. I have recently had a letter from an NVQ sudent asking if she could come on placement and all being well I will have her if my setting is okay for her needs.
