page 20 paragraph 3.9

'childminders will be expected to ensure that any assistants are aware of all policies and procedures, and that they are able to clearly define them for parents and others as and when requested. However, it will not be necessary for childminders to written copies of these policies and procedures'

I have just spend days writing stuff and I will not need it??? or is it still good practice to have written paperwork?

You will need them... they are the only way of showing parents and Ofsted what you think and do in different situations... they are not just best practice, they are the only practice that is acceptable to Ofsted...

Nobody has any idea what that sentence is doing in there ...! :rolleyes:

thats what I was thinking!!!!

guess that might be one of the 'revisions' they need to make

completly contradicted itself, I have a funny feeling me and this document are not going to get on...

providers must engage with and provide the following information for parents
- the providers policies and procedures, admissions pollicy, equal opps pollicy. etc etc

p.s do we need and admissions policy?

Am I right in thinking that somewhere it also says we don't NEED contracts!!!

Yeah right....NO WAY am I doing this without a contract

At our EYFS training we were given a list of
Differences Between National Standards.....and Stat Framework for EYFS

one of the Specific differences was

'No written contract with parents explicitly required':panic:

Absolutley, can you imagine it, if we didn`t have contracts!!!!
