parent going full time then part time for 2 months

hi me again I have a mindee that comes to me for 3 full days for the last 3 months and next week she wants to go full time (5 days) till the end of june and go back to 3 days (her parents going over from poland for a while) and she wants to go back again from september full time. So would you charge her 1/2 fees for the 2 days that she's not using???? thanks gail :D

If they wanted the full time place kept open for them then yes I would charge a retainer as you are unable to take anyone else on in between, so it means you are out of pocket.

yes i agree, if they are wanting you to keep the space for them, then you should charge retainer.

thanks for your comments what would you charge her ?? i charge her a set price for the day, times it by the 2 days then 1/2 it ? would you think thats fair???

Sounds fair to me, after all you can't take anyone else on to fill the 2 days.
