I need a double buggy as my wheel is gonna fall off i know it is its wobberly - my hubby slammed the car boot and the wheel got caught yesterday

i only have 2 part timers one in for 3 days and one for 2 days - a friday I have my own son so I drag my tripple out for that one.

I want to buy a double but only have about £160 (spent all my money on my tripple - only to loose the full timer 9 days after buying it  as mum is giving up work to stay at home planning another baby)

any suggestions?
I have the gracco stadium duo its big and bulky and I love it but its no good for getting in the car :panic:

so i think Ill have to go for a smaller one ?

Dont mind if its a side by side or tandum as I put my buggy up and it stays outside all day next to my door so no need to bring it in and out all day just once on a morning and once on an eve x

hey
I brought the O' baby double for £150 of the very website
Its narrow enough to get through my front door, comes with rain cover and fully reclining seats! plus roomy shopping baskets underneath, and three handles (one in middle) so your arms arent stretched! p.s its side by side, umbrella folding and def small enough to in boot of car!

i loved my chicco twin (now £160 but I got mine for £99 in the sale a few years back).

Just invested in a mamas and papas twin aria (£93 on Argos outlet on e-bay). Incredibly ligth to push even with children in and can push one handed on the straight and even uphill but small wheels mean pavement dips and up and down kerbs not easy to manoevure.

I loved the maclarens before but they seem to get heavier with every model they make. O'baby's look lovely but they are a tad heavy for me. Check the e-bay bargains and kiddicare/mothercare sales but I'd always go for new now - I've been burnt before with second hand. Bought one, broke after a week or so and no warantee :(

I've got a Graco Stad Duo and needed a smaller double for the car - Tesco Value double buggy (Turquoise) £35.00 can't get cheaper than that!!!

No hoods, raincovers or storage basket but it's great to push :)

I got my double from the free ads paper for £45. Was a 3 wheeler jobby and fab (changed it for a triple/doulbe convertible about a year later or I'd still have it!) For buggies I always look in the free ads magazine first. :)

I've got the mothercare version of the graco stadium and I love it. I got it for £39 off e-bay, practically brand new, footmuffs, hoods and raincover all included!! Definately keep an eye on e-bay for a smaller one, I waited a few weeks till something i wanted came up. I'm glad I did! happy buggy hunting!!:D

Don't get the mpv mothercare one..... I bought this off eBay really cheap (£40) brand new and I know why! It is horrible! The seats slope down so kids slide up against the harness. It's very difficult to push and very awkward ! I only used it once and it got relegated to the garage!

I got my double buggy from argos £99.99 its been great and folds really small (umbrella style). Kooshie I think the make is. I've had to look for a tandem now though as new mindee is too small for it.

I just got a bargain tandem jogger in charity shop for £35 :) too good to resist!

I noticed alot f you are buying preowned prams is it really worth it just had a meeting with the inland revenue a couple of weeks ago and you can only claim 20% of 2nd hand items where as for the extra bit money you could claim the whole 100% i am confused now didnt think it was worth going for 2nd hand items!!!

Having had a tandem buggy since i started this job, i have just bought a smaller car and needed a smaller buggy
Bought a Maclaren Triumph from a 'granny' who had used it twice. A bargain for £50 and totally love it, so easy to push, fold down, really light. Only slight problem is i have a v big 2 yr old and straps are a big tight for him

I looked into buying the mothercare buggy but reviews were all dreadful

Good luck

if buying on a budget then i think you are best of buying a 'good' buggy second hand than buying a cheap one from new. i think you get what you pay for!

i bought my jane powertwin second hand and its brill.

I have the koochi one and my ds has been going in it since 3 months and he was tiny so I think it would be fine from birth

I just bought a lovely M&P one from eBay for £21. If you hold out you can find a good second hand one x

cchildcare - I was just coming on here to post about that buggy, I've ordered one and thought I'd come and let everyone know about it. It's going to make getting on the bus with my two 1 year olds much easier than in the monster I've got now!
