Hi everyone,

Just thought I would tell you about a great discovery I made today....

I was passing by the educational library on my way to a meeting with the early years lot and there was a HUGE rack of books for sale.... I picked up lots and lots for 20p each, all non-fiction about water, history, geography, simple science experiments, things to make, culture, religion, environment, disabilities, animals... They told me that they have several sales a year.

They were in great condition, they told me that some were out of date but i don't really see how a book about the ancient greeks can be very out of date!!!!

Try giving your early years team a ring and ask for the number for the ed library.... I'll be going back at the next sale!!

Best wishes, Jenni x:)

That's great - my local library had a sale recently and I too bought loads of books all for £2.20. It's great way to increase your library without spending a fortune. Don't know how often the sales are though I must find out.

I often visit our local libary they always some books for sale and I often pick up some books for 10p each. This confuses the children as they want to know why we don't take them back as they were from the libary!!:D

well spotted! charity shops are great for bargains too. I also got some german language childrens books from freecycle, which was handy as I have two bilingual german/english families.

Haven't got any kids books from here yet but great for me - www.readitswapit.co.uk (http://www.readitswapit.co.uk) .

And never found one, but if you want to pass on books you don't need any more www.bookcrossing.com (http://www.bookcrossing.com)
