Hi, have others had their letters from OFSTED informing us of the changes to the registration due to take place from 1 September 2008?

It tells us about the two registers and what it means to us. It says that they will contact us again in August to send us a letter which will show that we have been transferred to the new registers. I have been told that I will be transfered to the Early Years Register and both parts of the Childcare Register. There is a leaflet with it but I have not had time to study it properly yet and they have not confirmed what the fees will be, we have to wait and see.

Yep got mine - in fact Ofsted being so on the ball sent it twice.

Apparently they transfer us onto the new registers for free - however, they then added that they don't yet know what the registratin fee will be and they will write to me again neare the time. So much for it being free aye.

Mine came on Thursday - you don't need to do anything unless you disagree with which registers Ofsted are putting you on

I got a leaflet last week with my registration cert and in it it says " If you reigster after March 2008 and before august 2008 when we send your registrtion cert we will - tell you how we plan to transfer you onto the new registers."

But I never recieved any such information about this??

Perhaps that was plan A - Ofsted are probably on plan X by now

Sorry Sandra that's not helpful - wait a couple of weeks then phone them if you haven't heard anything (Sarah - what was that number????)

I didn't get the letter but I got my yearly registration invoice and it was £15. I may call them tomorrow and ask about the registers.
