Hi,

Im due and ofsted visit anytime around Aug this year. I know the high importance of my first aid and made sure that was done again but i did a safeguarding course in April 2008 but havent done one since.
I know it's good to keep up with training but there hasnt been one in my area. I've made sure I've read upto date info online but I havent got a new certificate.
Do I NEED one or is it just helpful?

Thanks
Becky

Safeguarding needs to be renewed every 3 years, hun. I would try and get on a course if I were you. What about an online one?

Safeguarding training is not a legal requirement but it's good practice to keep up to date which you say you're doing anyway. You will be able to tell the inspector this.

I did the one that's advertised on here in the online training section.
Think I did the 'core' training as have already done a 'real' course when I started and plan to do the refresher next time it's due.
