if a parent asked you for the name and phone numbers of the parents of other children you mind so that they could get a reference, would you give them this information?

Nope! I'd tell them i'd need to ask permission from the parents first before giving out their details.

Yes but only after i have checked with the parents first. I have never had a problem, my parents have always been very good about speaking to prospective parents.

Only if I'd asked them first and got permission to give it out :D

I either ask current parents if they would mind me giving their number out, or if they would phone the new parent.

They're always happy to do it because, for most of them, it's how they get their references when they were the new parent

My parents actually tell me to get prospective parents to call them when I tell them I have a meeting:D

I have a set of parents that have said they would be more than pleased if I ever need to pass their number on for ref :)

I think I would say either 'I need to check first' or I would say 'can I pass your number to my current parents so they can contact you'.

Yes, but as the others said I would need to get permission first.
