Can anyone help please?
I have my pre reg visit coming up and I live in a victorian house with sash windows, many still have original glass and I a worried about OFSTED having a problem with them.
Can anyone give me some advise please?

You only need safety glass for glass below 1m in height so if you don't you can put that film stuff on them. I assume they have window locks on too?

Just wait to see what inspector says - will depend on where windows are, thheir height from ground and so on.

As said before safety film can be an option, not registering some rooms another (therefore children would never go in those rooms).

Lots of childminders live in Victorian houses and have old glass - so don't worry to much.

Thanks for your reply, they do all have locks but worried they are just below the 1m. I will wait and see what OFSTED say later today.

Don't worry too much - the inspector will advise you and, if she thinks you need to put safety film on the glass, you will be given time to do so before your registration goes through.

Good luck
