COmpulsary Training. What is needed??

Hi, can I please ask whether the NVQ3 is compulsary, and if not now if it will be. I have heard that it may become compulsary in 2012 or 2015. Anyone know please. :confused:

Having an NVQ3 is an aspiration for all childcare workers not just childminder's, there is no date for it to be compulsery and if they did bring it in as a requirement they would have to allow time for people to gain it or the childcare system would collapse in a heap.

It is however useful to have some childcare qualifications, I also found gaining them quite enjoyable

we were told it will probally be in force bu 2012

Hi we have been told that everyone will have to have a level 3 qualification by sept 2012, it doesn't have to be an NVQ, i have the DHC which is a level 3 so i have been told i am ok.:)
