Hi there,

I have a parent coming around to see me for care for her two children aged 6 and 8 later today for before and after school and some holidays

I've not had children of this age start before (I usually get the babies) and need some advice about what I need to ask and what I should have in place for this afternoon. I've already asked the children's routine and their interests and have a vague idea of the hours etc needed but dont want to get caught out with something because I'm naive of minding children this age. Parents sound lovely so want to be as professional as I am with LOs

Any suggestions would be welcome x

sorry if this is too late Blue but i generally ask what their routine is when they get in from school - bit of homework, tv, snack, play out

I ask the kids what they like to do - lego, colouring etc

etc

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

They'd gone but the children had fun here and Mum is going to let me know after the weekend.
