Hi all, just to let you know I've spoken at length with the CSSIW and the Care Council Wales (who decide which childminding qualifications are accredited in Wales) and both have told me that the only way to be a childminder in Wales at the moment is to complete an ICP course. Both said that the CYPOP5 is not accepted in Wales, it may be at some point in the future but it definately is not accepted now.
Just wondered if anyone knew of this as its all quite unclear and I had to do ALOT of ringin round to find this out. Also the NCMA were positive on the phone that their online CYPOP5 was fine in Wales, even when I told them that CSSIW had told me it was accepted they still assured me it would be fine
