Hi I am a new member to the forum. I have been minding for 15yrs but this year my Income is more than £15,000. I usually complete the short self assement form but on reading the NCMA accounts book it says seek advice from Inland rev if your annual turnover is more than £15,000. Do I have to get an accountant? or do full accounts? any advice will be much appreciated. Thanks. :panic:

This is old advice - it has been increased a few times over the last few years and is now £68000 so keep going with the short return

I have had income in past that exceeded limit (£15,000 at the time) and sought advice - did not need an accountant. Just needed to break down figures a bit more and fill in another page was simple - all information was within normal account book.

Yep sort form for over £68,000 now.

You must have a very old account book because it went from £15,000 to £30,000 years ago.
