Just met up with my dad's accountant (who's now mine too lol) and worked out how much tax I owe for my first year of minding. I had saved £3000 for it and only have to pay £700!
So that's £2030 for meeeeeeeeeeeee! Woo hoo!!! :jump for joy:

Gonna try and do the same this year ;)
Only I may be taxed more as this was my first year

I haven't started saving for tax yet but £700 sounds a bargain to me! :clapping: :jump for joy:

It's great when that happens! :clapping:

Don't forget you might have to pay class 4 NI (at 8%) as well ... the threshold is lower than tax.

:D

I've not saved a penny! Although from what I bring in I doubt very much I'll pay anything anyway, and certainly not likely after expenses have been taken off.

Wish I could say we're going to spend it and have a holiday with lots of wine but going to be sensible and put it in the savings so hopefully we'll have a deposit or a house some day ;)
