Had a parent come to see me last week for potential afterschool care for there 4 yr old when she starts f/t education in sept but would also like to send he every friday during aug just to get used to me (I currently do have spaces and don't want to fill my friday space to badly anyway) so what should I charge as a deposit/ retainer as shewants to come and sign contracts asap!xx

I'd work out how many fridays there are in August, work out what that will cost and use that as a holding fee.

also just check with her mum. most schools do part-time induction days (our local school doesn't start them full time until 1st October nearly :eek: ) so you'd need a variation for that period if mum needs you.

Some of mine that went into reception didnt start full time until a couple of weeks after half term, so like Juggler suggested, mum will need to check

If the child is coming for the full day/contracted time then I would charge as normal. Just because child is older doesn't mean they don't pay.
