Hi,
I have just received my NCMA accounts book and have a child starting with me next month.
I was just wondering how do I and where do I log my start up costs?
:panic:

Just write them down in a list and add them up.
It doesn't matter how you log them as long as the total comes off your income.

Agreed and don't worry if you have more expenses than income to start off with - it will sort itself out at the end of the tax year.

As said before - make a list of all the start-up expences and put them all down as "start-up costs" on the first line of your accounts book on the week you start minding. You may run at a loss this year but you can carry any loss over to a profit year.

I will be registered childminder soon. I am a bit worried, how to get started.
