Anyone know anywhere that sells plants/flowers for role play? Something like the Ikea felt food as plants would be ideal. I'm doing a growing/nature theme for the coming term and have loaned a pretend greenhouse/wheelbarrow from the toy library.
I thought I could get pretend flowers from Hobbycraft/Dunelm and some plastic pots, just wondered if anyone had seen some nice ones. I'm getting the felt veggies from Ikea
Thanks :)

we use real ones but you could make some out of Plasticine. there are kits available on amazon (and I am sure elsewhere too) so you could have an arts activity at the same time

I would imagine the Pound shop (or similar) might have them, or Wilkinsons.

Or you could make some from tissue paper and card :clapping:

Yeah I was going to make tissue paper with the children, although my own daughter of 13 months will enjoy eating them! This is for inside on carpet so leaving the real ones for the garden. Wilkinsons probably do the fake ones cheaper than Hobbycraft good plan thanks :)

you could maybe print some off onto thin card and laminate them

My own girls wanted some for getting married (!) I asked at the charity shops and came away with loads of silk flowers that they had hidden away but couldn't sell! I made the ends safe by coating in wax and they've lasted for yonks!

I have just bought some from Ikea.

In the garden part I got some really nice quality ones for 39p a flower and they were 99p for the same in hobby craft. They had loads but I dont know the price of the others.
