Can anyone advise me what the situation would be if I were to use a property that I don't live in for Childminding? If, for example I inherited a property that was near to where I am currently and I decided to use that for minding instead of my own home where would I stand?

Obviously I would have to notify ofsted and have it inspected and registered but if I'm not actually living in it would it then become 'Childcare on domestic premises' rather than a Childminding service? Would there be business or insurance or planning permission implications?

For childminding someone has to be living at the premises, although it doesnt need to be you. without this you would be classed as a nursery and have all the bump to go with it planning permissions, etc etc etc
