Hi there Dave:)

I do a newsletter, in it I include stuff like important dates:
my holidays
birthdays
events
school holidays dates and events
up and coming activities/themes/outings
celebrating achievments - mine/kids/own kids/parents etc (all with permissions)
funny photos/sayings
reminders of policies and procedures etc

I do a newsletter about every 2 months / half termly. I put in my holiday dates, news about any changes to policies, a reminder about anything I think parents need to know, and a welcome or goodbye to any new or leaving mindees.
I think most of my parents like to read it, and it's an informal way of gently reminding them of things.

I do a newsletter on the 1st day of each season. (21st ish of march, june, September and December - although do the Dec one a bit earlier)

I do:-
Holidays and days off
Children present and new
Things to remember (hats, suncream etc)
Birthdays
Toddler groups and activities
What we have planned
anything important - ie: we are collecting school vouchers etc
Anything thats been bugging me!!

Not sure how much they all read it, but at least I try!

I write a monthly newsletter which I give parents along with their bills.

I upload copies onto my www.knutsfordchildminding.co.uk website as well in case they lose them.

You are welcome to pop into the parents page for a read :D
