ICP Unit 1?

Hi All

I completed the ICP Unit 1 with the National Extension College in 2008, I am now reregistering but can't find my certificate so I need to apply for a replacement at a cost of £36! So before I go ahead and do that, can anyone tell me if that is still the required qualification to register?

Hi yes you need to have done the introduction to childminding course within 6 months of registration.

In some areas they insist on it before registration - so it does depend on where you live.

Sorry do you mean you now have to do more than Unit 1? I did Introduction to Childcare Practice Unit 1 (which was the standard requirement when I first registered in 08), so is that enough or do you now have to do the other units too? I'm not sure I can afford to do them all, theyre a couple of hundred pounds per unit!
