watching the news and the budget stuff and they've said we can claim 45p a mile
is it really true???

But if you watch sky news it tells you on the thing they have with key points that milage up to 45p x

I read that it won't come into effect until next years' accounts but yes it is going up. :D

ok i will be reg mid april (pre reg 7 april)
if i can claim 45p per mile after 6 april what about start up mileage ive had prior to the 6th april for courses will this be the 40p or 45p rate?

For journeys taken before 6th April they will have to be 40p per mile. Journeys after 45p per mile.

I was only thinking the other day that the cost of petrol is going up and up yet we have claimed 40p a mile for years.

thats good news, thanks for sharing that! i've been minding for 9.5 years and its been 40p all that time yet way back then petrol was less than 80p a litre and now its over 1.30 so still needs to be more, two new tyres the other week cost me £286 :(
