Hello lovely people, I have Mrs O coming Thursday.
Just looking in the fab 'free downloads' bit, as you do.
Pauline, can I take this opportunity to say thanks, you are amazing and I would have thrown in the towel a long time ago if it wasn't for this forum.
Any road up. came across 'a passion to be outstanding'
Scrolled down.............
First pic, lady with 2 Lo's on her lap.
Gorgeous picture.
Except.............
The plant right next to her is highly poisionous!
There's also further pictures.........
2 children playing next to a fireplace, with no guard!
And a child using a harmonica. just my opinion but not easy to clean!
Do you think Ofsted know?
Surely I'm not the first to notice?
Can I have the pleasure?:ROFL1: :ROFL1: :ROFL1:

I don't have a guard and ofsted have never so much as commented on it but i do not have fires on during the day

ahh but the minder could have RA the plant and fire place (I have never used fireguards)
and as for the harmonica - could be just for the minders use???

oh but do point it out:D

as to an Ofsted blunder... well that is never a surprise is it!

Print off the leaflet and casually show it to Mrs O while pointing out the dangers, see what she says ;)

That's so funny
I know, it's not that you can't have those things if risk assessed, but it's like Ofsted recommends; highly poisionous plants and open fireplaces!!!

Ooh, what's the plant? I've just had a look at the download and it looks like the sort of plant lots of people would have in their house...I'm sure I used to have one in my bathroom!

As for the fire - I never have a fireguard up. I don't even own one anymore. It use to be a 'rule' that you had to have a fireguard, even if the fire wasn't used, but that changed years ago, thank goodness!

It might be different in Scotland.

I've got a fireguard, but it's to stop the kids opening the doors and covering themselves in soot and playing with the pokers! ;)
