new starter not turned up again

i had a new full timer (18 months) start on the 28th of February , lovely boy settled in well , he was due to come back last monday and i got a call from mum saying he wasnt well and he was going to have monday and tuesday off

hes not been back since :rolleyes:

his mum paid me in full on his first day for the month so theres no issue with payment but id really like to have heard from her as to regards when he is coming back , im worried there was a problem and i wont have him next month . i text her this morning 20 mins after he was due to arrive but no reply , didnt ring as it was still early 6:50 am

im annoyed actually as ill have to go through the esttling in again as hes not been for a while :panic:

Have you tried calling since? Maybe he is still poorly and mum has not clicked that she needs to be keeping you informed

im going to wait until this afternoon as my other full timers mum works with the new boys mum and i shall ask her if she knows anything before i ring
