Hello all, we are off this weekend to get some toy storage, DH is fed up of all the toys being out....yey knew it would work eventually  :clapping:

So, we are on a very limited budget but need something quite specific so am after some advice....

- I dont want to spend more than about £70ish.

- Ideally Id like something that will house maybe six of the wicker basket size boxes.

- Ideally Id like something Walnut in colour to match the rest of the furniture.

Had thought about expedit but by the time Id got the shelves I needed and then the baskets or inserts it seemed quite costly.....any help, tips, advice or pics very gratefully received!!! :) :)

I use pine blanket boxes which i have stained to the colour of the rest of my furniture in my front room.
In the toy-room i have shelving with plastic boxes, which my husbands company nicely donated LOL.

Argos do a bookshelf that has extra wide shelves, they come out at around £40 and are good value. I have one in my craft room and we are getting one for my childminding lounge at the end of the month so I can organise the toys better

I have Ikea storage shelves that move so that they are really flexible.

Do you have an Ikea close to you? :D

Argos / Homebase do these:

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/9293894/c_1/1%7Ccategory_root%7CHome+and+furniture%7C14417894/c_2/2%7C14417894%7CStorage+and+shelving%7C14417975/c_3/3%7Ccat_14417975%7CChildren%27s+storage+and+toy+bo xes%7C14417988.htm

They also come in four. They are on castor wheels so can move easily and you could stain them to match furniture. I have big plastic storage bins that slot in quite nicely, as would wicker baskets. Just check your baskets will fit in each square compartment. You can also then put bigger items / more baskets on top.

I'd be off to Ikea, it's their sale atm so things might not be as much as you think.

Have fun
