Anybody helps with running a crèche?

Our local Surestart Centre has asked if we'd be willing to man the crèche they are trying to set up for parents who will be going on some parenting courses.
Just wondering if anybody is doing something similar and if yes if there are any rules that apply specifically like ... are our Ofsted ratios valid there or the actual ratio of children and grown ups that are actually there. Anything else we need to know?
I think it's more volunteer based rather than a paid job.

That sounds like a lovely idea, and probably a great place to find new work!
Your OFSTED ratio's count at all times when you have paying mindee's. No exceptions to that rule, unless you have a variation, of course. If you had spaces-ie-registered for 3 but only caring for 1 then I think that might be ok? Best to ring them to check though. I would.:)
