I wanted to make a 'farm picture' this afternoon, to go with my theme. A big one to go on the wall.

Any ideas for easy ways to do animals?

I can only think of sheep... A cotton wool ball.... Any other simple ideas, without printing pictures of & sticking them on. I've got a 2 & 3 year old to do it with, so they won't be able to draw much...

Thanks

How about you make a background of a farmyard... they help you paint it with brown paint they help to mix and a little sand added for texture.

While that's drying they make hand print animals - just palm and 4 fingers, hide the thumb (that gives 4 legs) then you draw in the head when dry and cut them out.

Stick your animals on the background, add some cotton wool painted green bushes etc... if inspired you could also make a hand print tree (for arbor day on Friday).

We did this a few years ago after we'd been to the farm. None of the animals looked anything like animals to me but the children knew exactly what they were and were very proud! :D
