Hey.

I cant remember how long they say it takes now... is it supposed to be 14 days til you receive it in the post. But My inspection report was online before I received a paper copy also. Took 3 days for it to go online and 6 days to receive the paper copy.

Yep you have done it right, blonde or not!

I agree it is a fantastic report Cheryl and I could not see what extra you could do to make it outstanding!! I suppose that makes one good reason to live in Wales.

yes this seems to be happening more and more lately, at the NCMA conference this was bought up and we voted for the ncma to lobby ofsted to have the reports sent out to us to view before ofsted posted them onto they website, hopefully something can get done about this, as some reports could have inconsistences in them, and if they is a problem with the report then parents will see this and not want us to childmind their children, and it could take ofsted months before the report is amended, which isnt fair, also the wording that ofsted use
i.e The provider is required to keep a record of complaints made by parents, which they can see on request. The complaints record may contain complaints other than those made to Ofsted.
was also bought up for the NCMA to see if ofsted could amend this, as it could look like they has been a complaint previously
hope this makes sense,

sorry forgot to say great report, well done

Hi

thanks all for reading it x

the ofsted inspector did tell me that she wanted to give me outstanding in ' keeping child healthy and ' organisation' but the powers that be said no as I dont have in depth individual obs

I told her that i thought this was more in line with eyfs but what they say goes

anyway i am pleased with the report even though it would have been lovely to get an outstanding x

many childminders in my area think that they just dont want to give an oustanding in derbyshire !

Hi Cheryl. I had the same problem as you, but my report was on the ofsted website less than a week after my inspection. I found it by accident while browsing !!. When i phoned to say i was not happy with the wording on a certain part i was told that it could not be changed once it had been published. I did argue that it should not be published until the childminder had read it first, but apparantly it is up to the individual inspector how soon they admit it for publication. Good job it was a good report (apart from one tiny bit of wrong wording)

totally agree ofsted should let us read the reports first but they seem to be above the law ,In my case they claimed i had breached a regulation,It was not true caused me loads of stress and took them four months to remove.I also complained to ofsted about the way theydont just say the childminder has never had any complaints ever in my case it would have been a much needed positive ! I have heard they claim to be not accountable and my complaint about the wording on complaints wasnt taken up by them obviously

i think it should be sent to us to read, sign a letter agreeing for it to be on the internet then letter returned, then and only then the report should go on the net! good report though :clapping:
