one of my parents have asked if i can cook an evening meal for the children, is this ok for me to do or do i need a special certificate?

It's fine for you to do it but if you provide food then you do need to register with environmental health. Its a legal requirement. It would also be good practice to get a food hygiene certificate but at the moment this isn't a legal requirement.

if you'd prefer not to I would ask them to provide the food for you to reheat.:thumbsup:
