Hi

I have a parent who wants to meet me with regards to taking care of her 2 children, aged 3 and 8.
I am registered on the Early years register and the childcare register.Would I also have to register on the voluntary register to be able to care for her 8 year old? If so what would I need to do and how long would it take to become registered?

Any advice would be great

Thank you
Emma

Most people are on the voluntary register automatically as it is part of the Childcare Register - unless you asked not to be put on it.

Log into www.ofsted.gov.uk and search your EY number... check which registers you are covered by in purple on your screen.

Even if you are not on that register, it is voluntary so no you do not have to be registered on it to mind 8 year olds.

hth :D
