Hi hope this doesnt sound like a silly question.. but... i now have a playroom for the children and it away from the kitchen, do i need to have a fireblanket in there? there is no cooker (except for the mindees toy one!!!)
I do have smoke alarms up?

If you speak to your local brigade they should be able to advise you (and on your smoke alarms and exits etc)

I don't think you need one in the playroom but if you think it could be good practice to have one in there as well whats the harm?

The fire blanket is for smothering a fire on the cooker really... so it needs to be in the kitchen and not where you have to reach over the cooker to get at it...

I would ring your fire brigade and request a visit... exciting for the children and they will give you all sorts of advice :D
