All my mindees are growing quickly and I think it's time to put away the highchairs. I'm looking for a table that would comfortably sit three toddlers at meal times and crafts. I have this one http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/50177671 but it's not big enough. Any tips for something bigger and kind to my pocket appreciated.

I have a folding table from nes arnold - got it when a playgroup was closing - it's perfect, can fit 6 children comfortably, 8 at a squash.

I've got that table and it really is the perfect size..... My 8 yr old mindee insists in sitting it at teatime.....and he still fits....just!
Could you not just buy 2 tables? (that's what in would do)

Agreed. I have a 3yr old, 5 yr old and 8 yrd old eating around this every day. I'd just invest in a second table...

How do you do that? When I put 2 there to draw and they are a bit squashed. The table just about fits 2 A4 sheets and a box of crayons.
But a brilliant idea to get another table and 'connect' them ... I'll just get one of those nice plastic table covers.

We have A yellow ike table was less than 5 quid, they do it in several colours I think it's a coffee table. The legs unscrew to store easily and we use 4 stripey chairs from ikea that stack well.

Easily fits 4 toddlers to eat, our one year old love it too by we have had 5 year olds sit at it also

Mine all eat at the dining room table. We are lucky to have this option. The youngest is 21 months and she sits on a booster seat with full harness. The lo is a very fussy eater so dont think she would stay sitted at a small table. I cant even get her to eat her snack at the small table without her getting up all the time.

I like the look of those small table and chairs from Ikea though. I have an old ELC red plastic table and chairs (about 20 years old) which is stored outside when not in use.

I have the rectangular Lack coffee table, so it is a bit bigger. I use it with a couple of the Svala chairs, that match your table. I also have a little Poang chair that used to be Ds's that fits quite nicely, and has arms which keep in the LO's! :D
Can't go wrong with Ikea

Same here. They are always at the table for something, eating, colouring, construction, messy play. I like to get the LO's into a booster seat at the table as soon as they are old enough, can't stand highchairs  . My 3yr old has only just learnt to sit still at the table long enough to eat so my mindees aged 18mth def wouldn't sit still long enough. I like to sit at the table with them all when they eat.

I have the mammut table from ikea, although got it and 3 chairs at the nct sale for £10 http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/20168649 I find it ok for 3 children to paint/draw/snack at but a bit cramped for 4. But we're lucky to have a big table in the kitchen where we all sit for meals and bigger craft activities.
