..........some storage units. Im determined to try and get the place looking a bit more professional for if I ever actually get any enquiries. However, DH doesnt like the Ikea Trofast and things like that (our conservatory which I use as a playroom is also our lounge) so weve been looking for something thats more like furniture. All other furniture in there is Walnut so if anyone has any ideas that would be fab xxx

Hi I have used furniture@work for a few bit of furniture and they have some great storage units with loads of trays in the education section. When I get some money I really want to get the kinderboxes as it has storage for books at the top and trays at the bottom. Their website is furnitureatwork.co.uk.

I second the Expedit storage units! You can get a 2 x 2 one for only £20.00 and they are large, hold loads, but look really stylish.

i have 12 of these on shelves my OH built in the alcove of the dining/play room

http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/00138432

thinking of buying 3 more to go on top shelf to hide the masses of folders and other paperwork i have

and i am saving up for

i have laminated photos of the basket contents and tied them to the basket handles. When we have no kids the baskets are turned round to hide the labels.

Hi Newbie1 - I couldn't get your link to work, but typed in the numbers included in it into argos' search bar - and came up with this - hope it works and that it was what you were looking at??

http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=10001&catalogId=1500002701&langId=-1&searchTerms=8754925

Looks nice  If it is just bare pine I wouldn't have thought there would be a problem waxing or staining it to match your existing furniture, and it would make it more hard wearing as well!!!

I have got these, which could also be stained (I varnished mine)

Hadn't thought about the plastic boxes - yes I do have them, but I only have it in the "playroom" so not a problem. You may be able to get wicker or rattan boxes to fit, but I suppose the problem is finding them in the right size!!!

We have the expedit units too. DH just got back from getting some more little ones, with the fabric boxes - I don't like wicker.
I agree with your DH and wouldn't have the trofast, they just don't look nice to me, and I don't even have a pretty house but don't like them lol. I like the expedit because it's cheap and it doesn't look like children's furniture, just in case I ever want to stop childminding and make my house like like everyone elses.
