As the title suggests I want to increase my fees from the start of April from £4 an hour to £4.20 and I thought I would attach a note to the invoices I am giving out this week.
I'm just not sure about the wording. I don't want it to be too blunt but also don't want to sound apologetic for asking - after all I work hard for it and I will have been minding for 2 years in March with no increase in fees.
How do you all word yours?

P.S that just made me think of Creme eggs - want one now!!

Dear Parents,

I am writing to inform you that my hourly rate will be increasing by 20p to £4.20 as of 1st April 2011.

I have avoided to do so as long as possible and have not increased my fees for two years but due to the rising costs of fuel and food, I have been left with no option.

___________

Maybe that sounds a bit apologetic but that is what i would write anyway.
