Just wondered what everyone else had planned for these two days next week? So far I've printed some pictures to colour in for both and thought about doing themed snacks. Only other idea I had was to get some sand and do messy play with that pretending it's a beach etc. Anyone got any good craft ideas? Off to have a browse online so will post any other ideas I get too x

For Burns we are going to start with some bagpipe music from you tube lol and pretend to dance around with bagpipes, then we are going to colour in some scottish themed picci's and eat some scottish shortbread

For Australia Day we are going to get some music again from you tube, look at the different animals you can get in Aus and do some aboriginal art work, I was thinking of letting them stick lizard shapes to paper and then using the back of a paint brush dipped into white paint and doing spots all over :) xx

I found this for burns night. I'm not registered yet so not really looked properly at activities but thought they might be of help to someone.

Things to cook for Australia Day:

Pavlova, Lammingtons, Vegemite Sandwiches, Fairy Bread, Damper (lovely with golden syrup), Sausage Sizzle,

Books to Read: Possum Magic or Wombat Stew (two of my favs)

Songs to sing: Kookaburra sits in the old Gum Tree, Happy Little Vegemite.

You could have a green and gold day

As for Burns night, Not sure yet. Being Aussie, I haven't had much experience of this night so will be looking here for ideas.
