 Hi again, and hey if you have already helped me, thank you !

Todays question, at the side of our enclosed property is a 8 x 5 ft area that is not decked, all the rest of the land is decked.
We don't use it, but to the Mindee's is sooo inviting, I can't stop them going down there.
Ofsted have never mentioned it ? but I feel it needs decking to ensure safety.
Can I recoup the cost of this, as I wouldn't be doing it otherwise, and we have been here 4 years and I have only been minding 6 months.

Your thoughts please guys

Many thanx, you are all so helpful and an inspiration

I think this was talked about the other day (either that or I was going through an old thread!). A lady with a similar query rang the tax office several times and spoke to several different people. Each time she got the same answer to her question .... decking is not tax deductable but if you were to fence off the 'dangerous' area then the cost of that would be.

The HMRC will let you replace like for like so as you already have decking down you could replace it

I would ring them again and make sure that it doesn't come under wear and tear
