childcare element of tax credit ?

hi ya, just wonderd if our own children go to a childminder can we also get the childcare element help in our tax credits.thanks xx

I think so, ds goes to nursery one day a week and I claim the childcare element.
On the day he's at nursery, when the mindees have a nap I get as much paperwork done so I need that hour or 2 to myself.
