Hi,
I had my 1st meeting with a mum before xmas, then she came round the other day to do contracts etc.....
She said she had no chq book and had forgotten to go to the cash point before she came to me, could she drop off the deposit later on that day. Seemed plausible so I agreed........ now the next day and no money or contact from her?
She seemed genuine, but now I am wondering if she was just after my ofsted number?
Should I chase her or give her until tomorrow?
:(

Keep calm and breathe - give her the benefit of the doubt.
Give her a call as I presume the child is due to start fairly soon.

If you speak to her/or leave a message just reiterate that you need the deposit and you also need to clarify a couple of things prior to starting. I would stress the urgency but keep it light and friendly.

Maybe she is waiting for her next pay day but hasnt bothered to tell you that? give it a few days and then gently remind her :D

Thanks guys, hope you're right. Think I'll drop her a txt and see if I get a response. As I said she seemed genuine, and I have all her details like where she works etc which I've checked out and know to be correct.
Probably just my suspicious mind :panic:

Did you both sign the contract?
