Hi Everyone,

I have my first offical visit from a prospective mummy tomorrow.

I have had other visits before but from people who I know (friends of friends etc).

Can I just ask how do you all plan your visits, do you start of telling them a bit about you etc??

Also, what paperwork do you do for the over 5's (obersvations etc)?

no idea hun :)

Just wanted to wish you luck.

I though you didnt do observations for over 5's.

When i have visited childminders for my own son, they just talked a bit about themselves, showed me there paperwork and let me ask questions. i was more impressed with the ones that didnt over whelm me with info and paid attention to my ds. Also i liked being given info to take home as i always forget stuff.

good luck xxxx

Hi
I just had my first Mummy visit too! First they came in we introduced ourselves and our kids, then we had a coffee while the kids played. Then we walked around the house, then sat at the table and went through paperwork, I gave her a folder containing, my policies/procedures, an all about me booklet for her to fill in about her daughter and my permissions forms. We then sat and filled in a contract.:clapping:

It was all quite informal and my future mindee didn't want to go home:thumbsup:
