Hi !
I finally had my pre reg visit yesterday and got approved.:jump for joy: It went fantastically and made me realise I really do know some of the things I've been trying to learn for months!
So my question is, what do I do next? Can I join NCMA before my cert comes? What about advertising?
All suggestions gratefully received!
Thanx.
Lauren:)

Hi,
Congratulations on your pre reg. :clapping:
I advertised on childcare.co.uk and net mums and just put will be registered very soon. You cannot join Ncma cos you need your registration number to join. I was advised on here, also u can put cards in shops etc, saying will be registered soon .
Have u got your crb checks back, thats what held me up for a while.
Good luck , hope u get registered quickly. x:)

Hi,
Thanx for your reply. Yes I had my crb back ages ago so I'm really just waiting for the certificate. I was told this takes up to two weeks?

you may have a reference number begining ey that will be your registration number so you can join ncma etc.
i did advertise before hand and said will be registered in march. your certificate won't be long, once your crbs are done it comes quite quickly.
good luck :D

My certificate took 1 week to come after my crb check ( had pre reg ages ago ).
In that case I would advertise as registered, cos by time u get enquiries you hopefully will have certificate. ( others may disagree )
I know u cant do ncma yet , but as long as u dont start minding til u have insurance, I cant see any harm in trying to get business.
Good Luck, hopefully ofsted will be quick, I have been very impressed with how quick they have done everything. :)
